It’s officially the New Financial Year (take a deep breath, you’ve made it!). Before we jump into reset mode for the New Year ahead, it’s only right that we take the time to celebrate all of the milestones and achievements of your company, that is if you haven’t celebrated already. We wouldn’t be Melbourne’s most exciting premium event space if we didn’t encourage you to celebrate EOFY uniquely and unconventionally, now would we? Want to know what last-minute EOFY party ideas we have suggested? You better keep reading then.
Pinot & Picasso
If you haven’t heard about Pinot & Picasso sessions before you are truly missing out on a collaborative and creative experience. As the name suggests you paint whilst you sip wine. The team behind Pinot & Picasso have local artists who can come to you and guide you through basic (or advanced) painting techniques, choosing from a variety of artworks to recreate in a collaborative environment and leaving you and your guests with your very own masterpiece.
These sessions allow your employees to have a creative outlet whilst bringing the team together, we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate.
Christmas in July
The End of the Financial Year coincides perfectly with the concept of Christmas in July, so why not combine them and create a unique celebration for your team? We aren’t as fortunate enough to experience what a White Christmas entails, so creating one makes your celebration that extra bit special. We’re talking mulled wine, teas, a hot chocolate station, warm baked treats like gingerbread, bread pudding and Christmas cake, winter scents, a Christmas tree, frosted decorations and endless amounts of red and green throughout the room.
Set up some traditional Christmas games to play during the event such as Secret Santa or an ugly Christmas sweater competition, games like this will allow your team to reconnect, strengthen their relationships and bond together (whilst having a bit of fun).
Studio 54 (Disco)
For your EOFY celebration why not go back in time to the 1970s? Where the music was funkier and the clothes were more glitz and glam.
Having a themed celebration is way more unconventional and entertaining for your guests, you may ask why? Well, there are the costumes (think disco) for a Studio 54 party the outfits may consist of bright colours, metallic, sparkles or sequinned clothing pieces, rollerblades or funky boots. There’s the music: 70’s songs all night long played by a live band, there’s no way your guests won’t be grooving along and you cannot have a Studio 54 party without disco balls and coloured mood lighting (pinks, purples and blues).
No matter what type of EOFY celebration you host, whether it’s a small intimate gathering with your team or a themed experience like Pinot & Picasso, Christmas in July or Studio 54. You will want to host it at Melbourne’s most exciting venue, with an unrivalled view of the city skyline everywhere you look.
The window to book your EOFY is small so let’s start the planning process together ASAP.
