Guided meditations, yoga demonstrations, activations, collaborative zones and live entertainment set the bar high at our recent Immersive Experience Showcase.
Venue showcases are the perfect platform for engaging with our valued clients. But we know that these showcases are a dime-a-dozen and our clients time is valuable. Our team was tasked with a challenge; to do this one differently.
We reflected on the most successful elements from our previous showcases and conceptualised what we would introduce to make this event the best one yet. We asked ourselves, what would make this showcase truly beneficial for our guests? The answer – an engaging, educational and immersive experience.
In collaboration with some of the most inspiring suppliers in the industry, we designed an event around an interactive dining and educational experience. Over the course of three hours, guests were led through room reveals and suprise elements to highlight a range of event set up styles, activations, entertainment and creative food and beverage.
Greeted by the Metropolis Events team, guests were invited to engage with the AFL virtual reality experience and social mosaic wall, before the sheer drapes opened to reveal a conference set up in the Panorama Room.
As guests were seated, our MC, Adelaide Clark, took to the stage to introduce General Manager, Helen Boulter.
Helen officially launched our new conference offering, Balance By Metropolis Events. Based on a belief that balance is the key to a happy and focused work life, Helen went on to explain the concept behind the package.

Guests participated in a guided meditation practice, led by our Balance partners, Happy Melon Studios, before progressing to our outdoor terrace to enjoy fresh juices and bliss balls from the beautifully styled juice bar by our friends at Lettuce and Co. Featuring fresh produce, florals by Ivy & Eve and the Chameleon Bar by Harry The Hirer, it’s safe to say the vibrant juice bar was an insta-worthy hit!
As the journey continued, our versatile Aviary Room stole the show with a sleek cocktail bar vibe. Curated entertainment by Solution Entertainment featured a sax performance, champagne tower and flair bartenders. Guests sipped on Smoked Old Fashioned Negroni’s and indulged in our popular European Supper grazing table. But the delights didn’t stop there…
Our engaging MC, Adelaide, prepared the audience for the next stop in the journey. Playing to the versatility of Metropolis Events floor plan, the drapes opened to reveal a funky lounge space, ideal for informal breakout sessions or a suave supper lounge. Lettuce and Co and Harry The Hirer created a fun collaborative zone to capture the guests imagination and highlight the possibilities of the space.
Hidden from the guests, the Metropolis Events team and Lettuce and Co. worked furiously behind the scenes to transform the Panorama Room from conference space to elegant dinner. What happened next, encapsulates what we do best – the element of suprise!
The drapes opened and guests stepped through a veil of smoke bubbles into a different world. As they stood in awe, our industry experts took to the stage, ready to inspire the audience with their secrets to a successful event.
After an action packed afternoon, it was time for the guests to relax and mingle with a glass of wine and delicious canapes curated by our culinary team. We ended the event in spectacular fashion with a pyrotechnic display and the sweet sounds of incredibly talented (!!) MC, Adelaide, backed by DJ Claire.
